You'll find many veterans and associated organizations to choose from in Douglas County.  The following list is arranged alphabetically.

American Legion Post 16

Location: 406 SE Oak Avenue, Roseburg, OR 97470

Eligibility: Active federal military service during a war era, including national guard and reservists. 

Meets: 2nd Saturday of each month at noon.

American Legion Post 123

Location: 252 S. Old Pacific Hwy, Myrtle Creek, OR 97457

Eligibility: Active federal military service during a war era, including national guard and reservists. 

Meets: 3rd Thursday of each month at 7 p.m.

American Women Veterans Association

Location: meetings held at 406 SE Oak Avenue, Roseburg, OR 97470 (American Legion Post 16)

Eligibility: Woman veteran of all armed forces, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Army, Coast Guard, National Guard and Reservists. 

Meets: 2nd Tuesday of each month at 5 p.m.

Associates Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 805

Location: 913 NW Garden Valley Blvd, Roseburg, OR 97471 (go to the Information desk for assistance in finding office).

Eligibility: People looking to advance the work of Vietnam Veterans of America through cooperative projects and programs to facilitate, enhance and improve communications with members and the general public to continue legislative efforts to ensure the rights and benefits for all veterans and their families.

Meets: 1st Monday of every month at 7 p.m. at the Roseburg VA Campus, Building 16 Auditorium.

Douglas County Veterans Advisory Committee

Advise and assist the Veterans Service Office and Douglas County Commissioners in carrying out the purposes of the Veterans Service Office and its programs. 

Location: Douglas County Courthouse, Room 8.

Eligibility: Appointed by Douglas County Board of Commissioners to two year terms.

Meets: Subject to change - call for meeting schedule.

Douglas County Veterans Service Office

Provides education and advocacy for veteran's claims with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. 

Location: Douglas County Courthouse, Room 8.

Eligibility: All Douglas County veterans are eligible to use their services.

Douglas County Wings of Love

Location:

Eligibility: Open to all people, veterans or not, with a willingness to serve.

Fleet Reserve Association Branch 328

Location: 406 SE Oak Avenue, Roseburg, OR 97470 (American Legion Post 16)

Eligibility: All current and former enlisted members of the Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard.

Meets: 2nd Thursday of each month at 19:00

Military Order of the Purple Heart

Location:

Eligibility: All persons of good moral character who are awarded the Purple Heart Medal by the Government of the United States, AND are currently serving or have an honorable or general discharge.

Eligibility: Current and former officers of the VFW.

Scouts of Servicemembers

Promotes Scouting in the community, caring for veterans, and providing leadership opportunities for veterans.

Southern Oregon Warbirds

Location:

Eligibility: All veterans who have served on active duty or in the reserves in aviation-related jobs.

U.S. Naval Sea Cadets, Roseburg Division

The Naval Sea Cadet Corps (NSCC) is a program for young men and women ages 13-17 who are interested in developing their skills in leadership, basic seamanship, courage, self-reliance, military discipline, and are committed to being drug and gang free.

Location: 406 SE Oak Avenue, Roseburg, OR 9747 (American Legion Post 16)

Eligibility: 13-17 year olds.

Meets: 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month.

United States Submarine Veterans, Inc.

Location: Southwest Oregon

Eligibility: Active duty, retired, and other Submarines who earned the designation "Qualified in Submarines".

Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 805

Eligibility: U.S. military veterans who served on active duty (for other than training purposes) in Vietnam between February 28, 1961 and May 7, 1975, or in any duty location between August 5, 1964 and May 7, 1975.
